Lowe's donates smoke alarms

to city fire department

The Enterprise Lowe’s Home Improvement store donated 200 battery-operated smoke detectors to the Enterprise Fire Department on Dec. 18.

The smoke detectors will be offered free of charge to residents who do not have them currently in their homes.

Fire Chief looks forward to moving into new facilities in 2015

It may be after Christmas, but Enterprise Fire Chief Byron Herring and his department will be getting a long-awaited present at some point in 2015.

The city’s central fire station, located at City Hall, will be moving into its new home about three-quarters of a mile down the road at 301 Plaza Drive, the former home to Action GMC.

Enterprise citizens lift their voices to usher

in Christmas season to Enterprise

There’s a child in all of us so this message is for all the adults too.”

With those words the Rev. Matt Albritton from Heritage United Methodist Church shared the story of Nestor the long-eared donkey with the hundreds attending the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony Dec. 4 in front of Enterprise City Hall.

RV parking, enhanced city hall security discussed by Council

The Enteprrise City council voted unanimously at a Dec. 2 meeting to introduce an ordinance dealing with RV parking in manufactured home areas. Two distinguished soldiers will serve as co-grand marshals of the Enterprise Veterans Parade Thursday, Nov. 6.  A glance at their resumés would show that U.S. Air Force Reservist Col. Nancy A.
